As Oura’s Accounting Manager, you will lead the accounting team in a company experiencing rapid revenue growth. You will report to our US Controller. In this role, you will provide leadership and execution of core financial accounting processes, monthly/quarterly close, reconciling of accounts, as well as preparing accounting reports and facts in accordance with guidelines. This individual will have the opportunity to be a key player in shaping processes and controls. Candidates are expected to have a high aptitude and enthusiasm for conducting financial analysis; have demonstrated problem solving skills; and the ability to thrive in fast paced environments and work independently.
The ideal candidate is data-driven, process-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and holds others and the organization to a high standard.
What you will do:
Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are appropriately recorded, coordinating with other teams, reviewing, and preparing appropriate detailed journal entries and account analyses. Interact at all levels and with other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient, and accurate month-end close
Maintain the general ledger and all financial records in accordance with US GAAP
Responsible of proper reconciliation of G/L accounts
Coordinate day to day accounting activities
Perform thorough reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and appropriate documentation for external reporting and audit requirements
Participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over all transactions and reporting
Support audit deliverables and help coordinate with auditors during the year-end audit
Develop the GL Accounting team, and support their growth and professional development
Prepare ad hoc assignments as requested
We would love to have you on our team, if you have:
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or economics
Experience with Big 4 accounting firms and CPA preferred
5+ years related accounting and external reporting experience
Experience partnering with cross-organizational teams and developing cross-functional work streams
Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and current accounting practices.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively in order to meet tight deadlines, working independently and under a multi-faceted team model
Strong people management and mentoring skills
Experience with Netsuite or other large financial systems
Experience with e-commerce, hardware and software business models a plus
