Your mission is to ensure the Ten Percent Happier brand, content, and offerings are well-differentiated and ever-present in our Best Fit Customers’ minds in the rapidly expanding mental wellness space.
What you will do:
Work with the executive team to define our marketing and channel strategy and build and manage the marketing function at Ten Percent Happier. Some of your experience may include:
General Marketing Leadership
Has led a marketing team at a consumer brand during a formative growth stage. Has built and executed a high-ROI cross-channel marketing strategy to scale.
Target: Joined at $15-$100m in revenue, and 2x+’ed the business during their tenure.
Bonus: Has experience in: media, lifestyle, wellness, subscription.
Has built and scaled high-functioning, well-oiled teams within a marketing function.
Works cross-functionally and drives alignment with product, finance, and other functions to execute on marketing programs and uncover new insights and opportunities.
Strong analytical abilities, metrics-driven, understands the relationship between customer acquisition costs and LTV – and the ability to unpack the drivers of each.
Experience working cross-functionally to drive growth.
Bonus: Experience managing or working closely with data-driven performance marketing teams.
Partnerships & Content
Has successfully envisioned and delivered top-tier brand, media, and content partnerships optimized for business objectives including user acquisition, audience growth, and measurable brand awareness.
Has partnered with media production teams to create organic media properties that reach scale and meet business goals.
Has built and communicated a consistent brand message to customers across multiple media properties, marketing channels, and PR/Comms in a way that deeply resonates.
Has successfully built and executed cohesive, detailed brand and growth strategies across multiple channels, ultimately growing awareness, share of voice, message pull-through, and paying customers.
Experience taking multiple customer perspectives (through research, personal experience, and other relevant skill sets) and using them to inform all aspects of marketing.
Has demonstrated personal and professional experience with the type of consumer brand Ten Percent is looking to build (relatable wisdom, edge/humor.)
Other-oriented leadership style. Respects co-workers and direct reports as people first, sees them as inherently having good intentions, competent, and bringing unique and valuable contributions. Works from that place to achieve team goals and develop people.
Marketing spark. A marketing mindset is integrated into their worldview. They curiously and joyfully see consumer problems and product solutions, and constantly think about how marketing connects the two.
Operational orientation. Thinks of themselves as an operator/business executive > a strategist. Loves running marketing teams and strategies, working to achieve measurable goals.
Sharp business acumen, scrappy, and entrepreneurial. Thinking of themselves as a business owner rather than a marketing department. A mindset that leads to appropriate and scrappy risk taking. Experience with business strategy, financial modeling, risk assessment, and prioritization.
Who you will work with:
You will report directly to Ben Rubin, CEO.
You will work alongside Tara-Nicolle Kirke, interim Chief Marketing Officer.
The TPH marketing team will report into you, including Julia Wu, Director of Performance Marketing, and Jeremy Helton, Podcast Marketing & Audience Development
