Blockchain for Transformation?

Blockchain for Transformation?

I recently attended the Global Blockchain Business Council’s (GBBC) annual Blockchain for Good gathering on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.

The gathering was established to educate, engage, and empower global NGOs and other Positive Impact leaders to understand and leverage blockchain and digital assets for good.

The driving purpose is to harness this ground-breaking technology to create more secure, equitable, and functional societies.

Imagine a gathering of global NGOs committed to climate, hunger, equality, and other significant causes learning and collaborating on how to solve the world’s biggest problems.

It was inspiring to hear so many real cases of good.

I left with two thoughts on possible applications and a question for you…but first some context.

The GBBC is the leading global industry association for the blockchain technology ecosystem.

Conceived during the Blockchain Summit in 2017, the GBBC is a Swiss-based non-profit with more than 500 institutional members, and 178 Ambassadors from 95 jurisdictions and disciplines.

This means they have the ability to partner with non-profit projects like Transformative Tech to create things the world needs.

As such, I’m eager to hear how you think we might leverage blockchain for good with transformation.

I have two thoughts on potential applications…

Application 1: End User Data Ownership

I am searching for thought partners and tools to help solve the neurodata problem I’ve written about extensively.

Where neurodata is involved, we need innovation and we also need the protections provided by ownership – which tokenization could help facilitate.

What do you think?

Application 2: Research DAOs

DAOs might be useful to help fund and stimulate much needed research similar to VitaDAO.

In VitaDAO 1200 people have funded $2.5M in longevity research.

Certainly in our category, support for research would be transformative.

“VitaDAO is a DAO collective for community-governed and decentralized drug development. Their core mission is the acceleration of research and development (R&D) in the longevity space and the extension of human life and healthspan. To achieve this, VitaDAO collectively funds and digitizes research in the form of IP-NFTs. VitaDAO is an open cooperative that anyone can join, with the goal to acquire, support, and finance new therapeutics and research data in the longevity space. The VitaDAO collective co-develops IP with researchers, growing a portfolio of assets represented as IP-NFTs and other tokens.”

And a question for you…

Tell me, have you seen great blockchain-based applications for wellness, wellbeing, or transformation?

Sincerely,
Nichol

P.S.S.  Here’s the rest of the series.

Please some day check out some of our innovations. We’ve been doing R&D&E for a decade and getting ready to operationalize.

Second link is tech related as far as some of your interests here in this article. I think the other links may also ultimately interest you, especially when you envision a ‘platform’ that synergises these elements into a greater whole.

I also emailed you about mental health reformation in reply to your recent email about wanting to hear from others what we are up to and what invitations people might have for you.

    Love,
    Bret

    This is/was perfect, thank you.
When you have time, to be on your radar— I would love you to check out some high level sites of the projects I am part of— 3 main ones that we are working to synthesize and then get a property/location to do a microcosm prototype

    Nichol,
I look forward to following your work here and contributing if I see opportunity to bring thought leadership to the amazing work you’re doing!
